Oh. I stumbled onto this by half-accident, what with having the tendency to hop into people's LJs when I run across someone marginally interesting. ;) I'm glad I did, because lately I've been on such a House kick (finally caved in and watched what the whole show it about and instantly fell in love with it) and wondering if there's any House/Chase out there and if it's any good.
I liked this. :D Really. The two sound like themselves in that snarky kind of way, I like how you portray House (because I think he's really easy to fuck up), and I really like the dialogue. Oh yes. My favourite was probably "It's not a very good offer, if you ask me; what you see is what you get. Clothing optional." It just sounds so House
Okay, the image of the two of them together isn't exactly bad, either. ;) At the moment it's my pairing of choice. I must say that despite the lovely dialogue, it may have been the image of him gripping at his cane that was my favourite bit, because gah. House/cane OTP. Or, um, something like that. Eh.
I'm glad I ran into this. :) So thanks for posting!
Hey, I'm just surprised anyone has read it yet. It's going to hit the comms, but I haven't had the chance yet. There is good, there is bad, and there is unreadable. I'd make recs, but other than evilsimon's 30 kisses, I don't actually know much out there. I have more, of course. But I have to type it all out, so it could be a while.
The cane...well, someday I'll make you wince at it. I like squicking people. I like House/Wilson too, but Chase is my favourite pretty.
My next goal is to make people like Julie. I have a snarky Julie I've written some, but I have to rewrite the first fic in the series before I can post.
wow. i think this is great. just the right mix of snark, introspection, and boysex. ;D the one thing that has confused me in almost all fics that have chase as a main character - why does everybody say that his accent gets thicker under heavy emotion/during sex/when he's horny? cus i'm an australian, and i have never heard an accent get thicker. however, that could be cos i'm used to it. but come to think of it, i've never jeard an american accent get thicker either. not that this rambling of mine has anything to do with your fic, i'm just curious. ;)
but your fic is wicked, and i definitely think you should write a whole lot more.
Thanks. I never know...I thought maybe the end was trite.
And, well, actually, my accent gets stronger when I'm worked up, or distracted, or tired, or talking to people with the same accent. And I've seen this in other people too, including a British friend. *shrug*
Don't worry, I am writing a whole lot more. I even have this wicked thing worked out where...well, I'll let it be a surprise.

The cane...well, someday I'll make you wince at it. I like squicking people. Heh, I'm pretty difficult to squick, so you'd have to do quite a lot to cause such a reaction in me. ;)
My next goal is to make people like Julie. Hmm. I don't really have an opinion on her, neither a positive or a negative one, but I still wish you luck with it. :) It's good to turn things upside down every once in a while.
Actually... I don't even like Faith (well, didn't like her while I still watched Buffy, so I don't know if she's changed after that) but I still kinda like this piece. :D Not squicked by it at all, I'm afraid. ;)
There are things I don't particularly like and I avoid them if possible -- things such as fisting, scat, or bestiality. They're not really squicks as such, because I can read them if I have to, but I don't find them appealing in any way. On the other hand, I also avoid sugary fluff. :)
Oooh I had a crush on the dude who played Lucky too (his name elludes me for this moment) and they do look quite similar, such pretty boys with such pretty hair *sigh*
Who wasn't in love with young Jonathan Jackson? Best reason to watch the show back then. And they really did remind me of one another... I get sick of writers who don't know General Hospital mentioning it, so I had to say something...

But I am impressed. I was told this is squicky.
Yeah, I guess that's how I am. Though...does bad writing count as a squick? ;)
